Break Away
A common concave feeling,
That leads to a steep dive.
An emotion of pure discomfort,
Causes a wild, daring drive.
A will has been forgotten,
The beginning of a new day.
Stuck sucking in conformity,
Just wanting to Break Away.
A melancholy state of mind,
Burns holes over an innocent heart,
Kneading ache throughout the body,
And slowly ripping it apart.
A lover unforgiven,
Leaves nothing left to say,
Only wanting space to grow,
And of course, to Break Away.
A student cast to shadows,
Lives with secrets and distress.
Crawls her way to church,
In hopes she can confess.
A neurotic form of life,
Wishes not to stay.
So she takes her last breath,
Only to Break Away.
