The Spare

Folder:
My Mahal

If I could, I would let vultures,

prey on the false memories I set.

And let the honey bees drink,

sweet nectar from the blooms of life’s sunset.

If I could, I would undo time,
and remain a stranger to you.
I would let the hidden streams flow out of time,
to the deep seas of unknown love.

If I could, I’ll lie to spare you from pain,
say that the sun will still shine.
But my love, I have lived in you,
lifetimes I’ve only dreamed under moonshine.

If I could, I would bear our pain,
and carry our cross for both of us.
My dearest, God will sooth our pain.
So sorry I can’t stay long for us.

Wow!

This poem seems to be one of termoil. It seems you love him but you "can't live long for us".

If I am wrong, please forgive me and correct me.

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before. - Steven Wright
