Paradox

I see a face that holds the echo of a thousand goodbyes,

I see a dreamer who’s dreams will never be realized,

I see the ridicule of ages and the laughter of my past,

I see people who would give anything to bring me down.

I see the fool who thought he could change the world

One person at a time.

I see determination keeping a dead man alive

I see selfishness in an out of control way

I see truth searching for a better lie

I see anger in the head and love in the heart of the bum that lives inside me

I see a man addicted to things he can have but needing things he can’t

I see a retard who’s mother doesn’t find comfort in his presents

I see an artist without a muse, searching for a world of color to paint with,

But only having black and white

All because of a mirror that tells the truth.
