My mother talks about by grandfather and his plane he used to fly. How he wouldn´t waste a sunny, bright day with his feet on the ground and prefered to be playing up there in the blue shinny sky. My mom tells me they thought as if all was just part of a game where he was in complete control and would draw circles all around the sky like a small little kid crossing all the lines when coloring for the very first time. My grandma would get angry at him for fooling around with no caution at all, but when he asked her to come, nothing more than a yes came out of her mouth. He would take his daughters for a ride whenever he had the chance because he knew it was what made them smile the most. My grandfather lived to enjoy every moment of life with the ones he loved, every take off was a new adventure, a new breath of life. Memories, laughters, fears and tears were shared while playing his favorite game. Everyone in the family new whether we were filled with joy or sadness in our hearts we could always count with my grandfather's plane ride. So much long lasting memories my mom has with his dad in this particular blue little airplane. The plane had nothing special really, nothing that makes it stand out from the rest but there is much beauty where least is expected. My mother tells me every time she went on a ride she knew the landing would be so much better than the take off because every ride had something to treasure for the rest of your life. I remember my grandma telling me how he talked about flying up high with his grandchildren by his side. The thing is that he flied so high we couldn't get to him on time, but I know his plane and games will be flying in the air around us at every time. No matter how happy or sad we might be, he is always making circles where we can't see. When I imagine my grandfather I always see him with his airplane by his side, doing everything he can to make his daughters and son laugh. I imagine flying with my grandpa and all the fun it would be, but I would love to remember just one plane raid I had lived with him.
