In Retrospect
When I look back at my past, nobody told me to prepare,
that someday you will come along, and all I'll do is stare
When I look back at my past, nobody told me to be aware,
that someday heartache will come, and all I'll do is sneer
If retrospecting is contemplating, then I won't bother to look
back, cuz indeed my present, is better and clearer than the past
Everything is clear in retrospect.
But we cannot erase and redo the
past. All we can do is deal with it.
