Your ashes sits in a cold marbled box,
overlooking a magnificent view of the city
lights, the sea engulfed by the fog in
the early mornings of the day.
The bougainvilleas in it's perfect bloom
all colored in red, purple, and hews of pink,
all sorround you day and night.Tiny lights
abound your way, winking at me when I pass
as if to say, hey, he still loves
you day by day.
I stare at the marbled box, of what remains of you.
I long to hold you in my embrace, to touch you
just one more time, to look into those big, huge
eyes, and hear you say,you look lovely tonight.
So I sit in front of you,and memorize a line or two,
telling you the kids are fine, and tonight I'll
watched again our favorite show.I promise you
I won't cry, cuz when the actor says goodbye,
you always wipe the tears in my eyes.So long my only
love, don't worry cuz I'll be back, with some flowers
from my heart, to put beneath your marbled box.
