for all the heartache and pain
and thunder and rain and
aches that dissolved in the past
for all the hurt and confusion
and crazy delusions and
intentions that harshly clashed
for all the certainty and sureness,
hesistation and soreness and
resentment that pierced like a gaff
for all the fun times and laughter
and dreams we chased after and
spell of true love which was cast
for this very moment in time
i ask you to be mine
for the first time but not the last
for i'm one hundred and ten percent
sure that you're the only person
that completes my other half
I like this poem. It is full human desire, to give all you have for love.. and when it comes to the heart do any of us really have a choice?
In a world that is filled with an overabundance of choice.
It can be easy to change,
to give up
to give into the
" hurt and confusion
and crazy delusions "
I understand what you have written, it is a universal theme.
It strikes a chord, I can't say how good it is, nor can I choose between possible renderings.
All I know is I like it as a man, I like it as a poet, it has its own aesthetic — and it is an easy read.
Peace
Dylan
