Salvation of a Song
When we're overwhelmed with to many fears
We tend to run from all that are near.
Trying to push the pain away doesn't do anything,
And when we try and fill ourselves with useless everything's
Others can hear us cry out for mercy and ending.
But when that doesn't work we reach out for nothing
Hoping to grasp something.
And what we found, other people will never understand.
That music can be someone's best friend.
In times of need and when we bleed.
Some people think it sounds so wrong,
And they don’t see how we can have salvation from a song.
How when the notes play in our ears we can finally let out all the tears.
And when our songs pull us back to our better nature,
They slowly start to make everything better.
They bring us back to where we belong,
And to think...all of this comes from the salvation of a song.
