She knew,
she knew it in her heart,
that it was not a beautiful story,
but some stories
have to start,
no matter where the ends
leave their mark.
She knew it in her heart
that it will be one remarkable day,
that it will count,
no matter the magnitude
of the aches it left.
But she now wonders,
as she leaves the country,
that held the face of one man.
How can she pack her sorrows
in a suitcase, trying to depart her memory,
that clung to every other yesterday,
that she could possibly hold?
She wonders if her baggage would get lost on the way,
for the sorrow was too much to carry, in her heart.
In her heart,
she knew it since dawn.
The wind told her, the rain,
the eyes told her
when they had first met.

Mays,
As usual.....so sensitive, so deep and flows smoothly to the heart.
This is very well thought out. I enjoyed each transition and turn to the end.
Bravo.
