The sun casts a shadow
in the form of someone I know
and the wind gently blows
through me as I slowly come down
from all the clouds above
that have your face painted in them

I see your face all around
as you light up my world
I think I've finally found
what I have been searching for

When the sun goes away
the loss of sight overcomes me
and the paint fades away
the night becomes a black sea
I wait for the next day
so I can see you above me

The moon casts shades of light
in the form of someone I hold
your skin is shining so bright
and your beauty starts to unfold
I see a brand new sight
more beautiful than I could know
