She Left An Innocent Legacy
She slides the dress over her head while looking in the mirror. She can see every bone she has. She notices that the bruises from the past have not faded away. She puts makeup on her face and lipstick on her busted lips. She adjusts her glasses on her nose, and takes one last look in the mirror before turning her back to it. She walks away in silence to the outside world. She walks into work, smiles at her co-workers, as they whisper to one another. Soon the whispering becomes to overwhelming, the bathroom becomes her hiding place. The tears flow steadily as she sits in a stall, shaking, holding a razor blade in her hand. She raises up the bottom of her dress to it reaches the top of her thigh. She cuts as deep as only she can handle. The flashes of beatings and rapes appear in her head and then fade away. She leans against the wall for support. She slowly realizes that she isn't home and time has passed quickly by, she must get back to work. She quickly wraps her leg up in a bandanna, but blood seeps through. her mind becomes clouded with fear. She Applies more pressure to it to get it to stop bleeding. She takes out medical tape and bandages her leg up the best she can, only until she gets home. She slowly stands up and her dress drops quickly. She goes to the sink and washes her face, she's tired of showing the fake side of herself. She takes a deep breath and walks out of the bathroom and back to her desk she went. Everyone grasps as she walks by, her boss appoaches her and asks her to come to his office, she quietly declines. She stands with purse in hand, and walks out of the office pretending nothing happened. She feels blood flowing down her leg, so she walks to the nearest hospital. But before she could say a word to the hospital staff, she passes out in the ER entrance. She wakes up two days later, not knowing what happened, or how long she had been out. She tries to talk but the doctor tells her to take a deep breath and then she realized that the doctor was taking a tube out of nostril. They removed all equipment and asked her how she was doing. She whispered she was fine and asked if she could go.The doctor explained to her what would happened if he released her at this moment, she said she understood. She stood up and faced the doctor and asked for her clothes. He silently handed them to her and removed himself from the room. She didn't even wait for discharge papers, she went unnoticed and out the front door of the hospital. She caught the city bus to the bus station not knowing her destination. She paid for her bus ticket with her credit card and climbed onto the bus and sat down next to the window.She leaned her head against the window, and silently fell asleep, never to wake up again. She was only 22 years old. She died of an Eating disorder and an abusive relationship with herself, it all go the best of her. Her soul is free now, till this day you can see her spirit dancing in the graveyard. She left an Innocent Legacy.
