How silly of me, trying to hide
My flaws - only to be thwarted
At every corner - as I run
Ducking and dodging behind
Elaborated skyscrapers, ingeniously
Designed - fortified by an awe
Inspiring facade
Bleeding through the careening sirens
Followed by an unmarked Hum-V
Dressed in black - was heard
(Get off your Ass, and Jam)
Instinctively I turned up the volume
On my walk-man playing the song
Of the Gingerbread Man
(Run, run, run, as fast as you can!)
(Run, run, run, catch me if you can!)
(Sings the Gingerbread Man)
Indubitably I suffered the
Same fate as he - out foxed
By the child of destiny
I like your poetry and thank
I like your poetry and thank you for your comments it's being awhile since I have being on here but starting up again feeling isolated.
this is different, and i like it. the words aren't boring and the idea is quite unique.
i thought i should say "Hello!!!"
maybe you may become outfoxed by Destiny's Child but i'll try not to outfox you. maybe it IS destino.
Love, Necessity's.
