You could tell how he felt
When ever he'd see her smile, his face would just melt.
He'd hold her hand and kiss her cheek
She'd laugh and his heart would get weak.
He loved this child as his own
Even let her live in his home.
She was so important in his world
And you could tell, She was Daddy's Little Girl.
No way in HELL could he be mistaken for
As just "like a father figure" He is so much more.
He was her father, even if it wasn't from blood.
You could just feel, so much love.
You could tell how she felt and why
I could see how she looked up to this guy
Such a perfect passion for this life
Such a sweet way to get through this strife.
And his heart is breaking as he reads these words
And she is calling, "Daddy, am I still your little girl!?"
And he is wishing for her one last time
And I'm sorry for writing these lines...
But look how you filled this child she is yours
I always thought of her, as your little girl.
Wow, I loved this!
