Tell my lips to undo tears they press
Never tell the angel I'm in hell
But you know me ever so well
Never the less, you can tell when I'm in distress
Sometimes it falls dead on a kiss, oooooohh...
When I wish, and when I yearn for you to stay
You go and fly away
You let it burn
I'm left to wonder if i'll ever learn
Don't you want to know how I've been
I'm not the same as you know when I was smiling, no
I want you to know, but maybe you shouldn't know
Because it wouldn't change at all

Your glow could swallow my heart ache whole
Follow where the lights have dimmed low

I stare where you were but that's no where near
It's one thing that these tears don't mention
Careless love and affection lead me to think your heart was heaven
