I could tell by your writing the love is gone
Had I known
I'd have gave you a poem
Sang you a song
Called alone all along
I know you love me
I can tell when I see you
You don't know I love you
You just wait and see
St. Louis mornings
Minnesota nights
Flashing lights
The love and the fights
I know its frightening
To have to leave your life then
What got you on the road again
I love you 'til the ground I'm lowered in
It'll take a soul
For you to know
Take me with you when I go
My woman knew love like a child
And when she smiled
I could see the love again
I wonder can she see the love I'm in
She cried when she kissed me
Said she is bored living this life with me
Say I aint never home
I'm out making a living on my own
Feels like she's doing it alone
I could tell by your writing the love is gone
Had I known
I'd have gave you a poem
Sang you a song
Called alone all along
i thought that was very well written
Thanks for stopping by and reading my little scribbles.
Some heartfelt emotions expressed here, the inclusion of MN made the imagery clearer to me, mainly because I could picture it visiting MN a few years back. One of the best times of my life.
Your words don't seem bitter, but accepting and that is always a good quality for writing of the content you do in this one.
