Dance with Death

Folder:
2004

He danced with death so beautifully

He knew the steps so well

His feet were light, he knew the moves

That would carry him to hell.

He never understood his pain

But still he tried to smile

He never told us how he felt,

That he was miserable all the while.

And though we all knew he was sad

We never tried to pry

But soon enough we lost our chance

And we'd regret we didn't try

Author's Notes/Comments:

A small dedication to the friend I never got a chance to know better.  He never saw graduation, though he would have stood beside me that day.  Suicide is never the right choice.
