Staring out life's window
he sat alone that day
staring out the window
wonder what way
what way should he go
so much has happened
so many lies told
so many hearts broken
but so alone is he
hiding his pain
for no one to see
as he sits staring out the window
wondering, thinking
is this how life is
is all this pain worth it
he drinks his last sip of coffee
staring out the window one last time
he stands up wipes off that frown
pays his check
and walks out in to the sun
looking to his left
then his right
smiling knowing
his whole life is before him
just in sight
he knows
in his heart he knows
to go right
to look ahead and never look back
