can not wait til the sun goes down
to pull my curtains closed
shut the awful world away
to curl up on my couch
beneath my favorite blanket
close my eyes and drift off
this dreamland of mine
there is no dark clouds
there is no pain
the sunshines
people smile
and love is all around
flowers bloom
children play
no violence
no tears
no broken hearts
the green grass grows for miles around
you see this dreamland of mine
its a perfect world
where all is happy
now do you see
why i cant wait
til the sun goes down
and i leave the world behind
