You sent me a pic of you in your chaps

i fell in love instantly

both lonely

both hurting

we came together so briefly

alot was said

alot was promised

you went home

going to come back you promised

i told you no....  i knew better

but you promised

then the phone rang

you on the other end

telling me you loved me

then telling me you had another

wasnt ready to settle down

didnt want to be a dad again

i thought id die

but how wrong i was

for you see

even though my heart was bleedin

my best friend

was there holding my hand

showing me that there was more to life

then a man in his CHAPs  

so you ride your trike

you have your fun

but you will never know

what you could of had

what my WILDFIRE has

no i dont hate you

couldnt even if i tried

for you see i am better then that



i am me and no one else

so with this i say........
