Only A Haze

Bright stars are aloof.

You can't see through a roof.

And chimneys are used

To vent off smoke that're infused!

When morning comes

And light permeates one's eyes,

Your sight is what becomes

A tear that never dries!

And cloudy as your days,

Whether mist, fog,

A dead horse to flog

It's only a haze!

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this one solitary night while watching TV and "The Next Best Thing" with Madonna was on and was literally inspired by the Sanfo haze in the photography on that part near the ending.
