Darkness

Folder:
Good

I look into the air above me,

Wondering what it’s like to fly.

To have no cares, to be free,

But I cannot reach the sky.

I look into the earth below me,

The beginning of all life.

The final rest in death,

The end of all strife.

I look into the Darkness ahead of me,

Wondering what creatures lie in wait.

I know not what they are,

But they are filled with hate.

I look down the path behind me,

The life I chose to take.

The enemies that I made,

The love that I forsake.

I make my choice, I hang my head,

I succumb to sleep on the eternal bed.
