Long Gone
From the beginning we stood together.
We helped each other stand high,
Learn, understand, encourage.
That was our philosophy.
Together we were apart from this world.
Only now to realize that we were so.
So young, so naive, so unaprecciative.
Yet, I remember, still, so vividly those too few days.
Those days of childish joy,
Days of loose cares, loose worries,
Those times are gone now,
Gone, oh so long gone.
We shared so much,
Perhaps could have been so much.
But the world around us stood too high,
Too high for even us to climb.
The world crumbled between us.
All thats left, a barrier that we can't break,
One we are scared of, terrified of,
It hurts us, breaks us farther apart.
Those days of childish joy,
