DECISIONS,REVISIONS
(T. Beechey)
Decisions,revisions of half-hearted schemes
Whose present admissions induce inner screams
Serve only to swerve the past from the prime
And allow here and now to be future's sublime
Self-hatred is sacred among those which seek
Answers and chances for a glimpse of the peak
Which ascends never-ending limitless skies
Where the soothing of truth negates hurtful lies
Decisons,revisions of storybook rhymes
Within self-made prisons,against social climes
May hinder beginnings of life as it seems
Through eyes of both wizened and willful extremes
Self-loathing in clothing where the soul is disguised
Unquestioned suggesttions of shadows surmised
Permit the admittance of thoughtless critique
To be spoken in cloakened words of mystique
Decisions,revisions of once-lofty dreams
While avoiding collisions with reality's themes
Can either alter or halt your passage through time
Leaving only you at fault for an unpardonable crime
Thomas, wow! This is a fantastic piece. I loved every minute of it. It is so tight and exactly right. Again, wow.
