NOBODY
(T. Beechey)
Nobody sees the trees for the forest
Before us,there lies cries for solutions
Delusions seem real when feelings are muted
Diluted by years of fears and confusion
The clock is steady,it's said we're captive
To the rapture of time but I'm not convinced
Since dawn's broken and awoken the masses
At least one passes through to a new providence
Nobody feels as wheels are turning
Discrening truths from ruthless tales
The wails are vacant as patience recedes
And feeds the fires of tireless ails
Distance extends from friends and lovers
When discoveries show what no one denies
Eyes are hidden,overridden with guilt
And lives built on trust now rust in disguise
Nobody tells when bells are tolling
In unholy fashion by passions ignored
A chorus of me's seize every moment
To vent frustration while patience grows bored
Echoes of hatred reverberate inward
Only heard by those who've chosen to walk
In mock defiance,no compliance,alone
Unto their own rhythms within lines of chalk
Nobody knows who opposes or approves
Time moves by stages of ages and degrees
And the trees remain plainly unseeen
In between the forest and the chorus of me's
