All alone in a world where I couldn't belong
Then along came a girl with a heart filled with song
You sat down beside me and time then stood still
There was no way to hide what within me did spill
I felt a release that I'd never known
A true inner peace no one else ever shown
As,within both our gazes,all around faded fast
What remained were the praises to last
And each word you spoke drew tears from my eyes
That's when I awoke and come to realize
Everything that I was or ever could be
Was all because your love set me free
The sounds all around reduced to a hush
As,together,we found what we hungered so much
Someone to listen and someone to care
And while the moon glistened in the soft springtime air
We shared precious moments,we shared just a glance
It suddenly made sense in a once-given chance
As stars twinkled above and the shadows grew dim
We embraced in our love brought by Him

That's when I awoke and come to realize

It's hard to explain the things which occurred
At times it's so plain,then it all appears blurred
Was it for real or perhaps was it not?
Is the way that I feel just a mere wishful thought?
I'm wondering now if it was what it seemed
Or if maybe somehow it was only a dream
But then I reflect and I see that it's true
