I AM WITHIN YOU
(T. Beechey)
Should you find yourself standing near
My gravesite, stop! For I'm not here
I am in the whispered breeze
In the rustle of the trees
I'm in the laughter of a child
I'm in the tears of the beguiled
I am in each drop of dew
But,mostly,I am within you
Should you find yourself passing by
My gravesite, stop! I do not lie
Beneath this stone or under this ground
Within yourself is where I'm found
I am within each word you speak
I'm within the kiss upon your cheek
I'm in all you are and all you do
Because I am within you
I am within your very soul
As you strive to achieve your goal
I am within your every breath
We are still one, even after death
And,within you,is just where I'll stay
From the "Amen" you softly pray
To your greeting the coming day
There couldn't be any other way
And as you from your slumber wake
Picture me in each snowflake
See me in each grain of sand
And all throughout this promised land
Both near and far and far and wide
My vision shall be at your side
From mountains high to oceans blue
Because I am within you
I am within your hopes and dreams
Every time the sunshine beams
I am within your thoughts and prayers
Each time that your spirit cares
Just because my earthly fight
Has given in to my plight
Nothing shields you from my light
You shall remain in my sight
Should you find yourself in the presence of
My gravesite,stop and gaze above
I am within each cloud that forms
I'm within the rainbow after the storms
I'm within the seed that's freshly sown
And the bloom from which the seed is grown
I'm within all that's good and true
And that's why I am within you
I am within you, is another beautiful
poem. I have enjoyed reading very much.
You are quite a talent. This poem has a
sweet quality which I love so much in ones
work. Great: I will revisit cite.
