There is a man everyone sees every day,
and even though he is inconspicuous
there is something about his way
that is impossible to dismiss.
He wears no badge. He may not limp.
His smile is genuine. His eyes are true-blue.
He does not know any enemy. Except dreams.
He is the sort who would give you anything.
He asks for nothing, for he has become
accepting of what he became, when he
was sent to war, along with his soul,
and from war they haven't come back.
He gave his allegiance;
please pray for him.
