Beyond all mundane and pedestrian judgements,
two star-crossed lovers share in each other's banishments.
LOVE, in careless--although fond--desolation belies
each heart which in desperation tries
to tell ('til telling is of words bereft)
LOVE'S blood and dream and desire and all that is left.
Mon Coeur, what we've become, through LOVE, Mon Coeur! ,
is what we'll be to each other, forever, toujours!
((of all of this, you may be sure))
"Mon Coeur" usage in your poem reminds me of a man I once knew. He called every woman with whom he interacted "Baby". That was because he didn't want any of them to know that there were others being played along too. Is this what you do? I think it probably is. What's another heart broken? Just one more notch on your gun.
Oh my dear Marisol, you are such a wearisome and boring soul (if you even have a soul.) Sounds like you've been around-the-corner-of-the-barn a few times yourself, and are married to a loveless mate, yet trolling sites like POST for more romances. I wish you luck and a long unhappy existence. Teddy, himself.
"Poe" I'm not, nor "Rich" am I,
but I'll be famous, b'ye and b'ye !
Exquisite
Our dreams, our hopes, our innermost desires all come from one human fulfillment we all seek: the ability to love, have love, receive love, and give love.
Love is the essence of life.
This piece with its "star-crossed lovers" reminds me of the good ol' days when I was an actress in Romeo & Juliet as a class' activity. It was so much fun!
And by the way, having been able to almost be fluent in French, your next to last line in the poem you used the word "tu jours". I think you mean "toujours" as in the meaning "always"? If this is so, a minor French spelling mistake which can be easily fixed! Other than that, I like this poem!
