"Our Truths Will Remain"

Folder:
Love Poems

We're falling away from the truth.

Can't go on, it's all so wrong.

...defeated...

Deceiving, we're bleeding,

Blinded by lies and we're through.

We're trying, and we're trying

To make it out with both our eyes,

To get away from all their lies.

We're crawling, and we're crawling...

Through thick brush and mud in the rain,

To erase all the faults and weaken the pain.

And you can hold me,

And you can show me

That, no matter, our truths will remain.

We hide from, and we hide from

The monsters that creep in the night,

Killing truth and destroying light.

We'll always, and we'll always

Be chased by the damage we found,

Never forget the lies that were bound.

And you can hold me,

And you can show me

That, no matter, our truths will remain.

We're crying, and we're crying

For the defeats that we see,

For the saviors we can't be.

We're hating, and we're hating

The shadows we've seen and we blame,

The fear that now causes the shame.

But we are, and we are

More than their words can deceive...

And we are, and we are

Hanging on to all we believe.

And you can hold me,

And you can always show me

That no matter, no matter, our truths will remain.
