'twas a turquoise premonition
sequestered through his dream
that over slates of frozen water
there would safely lay a queen.
Cascading light provided him
A luminescent lime
that reflected arctic pillars
in the darkness of his mind.
she waited, in his presence
which he, couldn't yet- have filled
but, the journey set before him
promised waiting for him still.
So he'd walk until he couldn't
towards the years that took a toll.
Until the day he found himself
Without a way to go.
And, wept upon a glacier there
The tears did freeze as ice.
The echoes from a sobbing heart
returned his longing cries.
Then he'd wake upon each morning
this king, without a queen.
suffered from a broken heart
And, a reoccurring dream.
