So Happy
I met her today
A personality to fit the pictures, finally.
She loves to play
And sit in your lap, tease, laugh, and be silly.
I see the ring
on her left hand and it signifies something longer.
Of what life will bring --
it's much better than our two weeks, something stronger.
At first I ran
I went downstairs and tried to hide from the past.
But then I began
to realize your feelings had faded fast.
The disbelief,
the denial, anger, sorrow, and grief.
Now full of relief,
you replaced them with forgiveness and peace.
You have let go
of what I did, so horrid, now I see it,
but now I know
you've moved on and so should I, let's move past it.
It's good to see you
so giddy, loving, playful, and so happy
And I'll say too,
I'm so happy, so happy to see you happy.
