All my thoughts are choking on you
Everything stopped by the memories
It seems that each time I try to pass through,
Your face is all my mind sees.

Captivation of the heart, my heart you see
has driven me nearly insane.
I tried to retrieve that one special key
But in your tight clutch it will remain.

I don't know why or just quite how
you still have that small part of me
Even back then, and still here and now
It's as puzzling as puzzles can be.

I have heard that loving someone
is giving them power to crush you
And once your heart is won
You are trusting them not to.

It is possible that I'm merely reminiscing
Of things that have long since passed
A memory just reviewing an old feeling
Something one could call a heart's cast.

A smile I will leave with you
I may fall, fall, fall from the sky
It may hurt when I land on you
...That, I will not lie.
