So I’m walking and this random guy approaches and advances to say hello to me.

So being me, of course I spoke too, that’s what my momma told me to do. So he goes on to ask who I am and where I be. And you know little ole me; I explain some things about who I am and where I be. And then he goes on to say, can we get together and do something one day. And I say, well I don’t think so, I have a boyfriend and I just wanted you to know. So why did he continue to say, that’s okay I don’t see a ring, so can I get your number anyway? No, that’s okay I gotta man and I’m very happy. Well, he says, where is he, you wouldn’t be alone if you were with me. So me being me, being honest I say, my boyfriend isn’t around he’s a few hundred miles away. And he’s says, girl then why must you trip? He’s there, you’re here, how do you know who he’s with. So I’m thinking to myself, why me, why now, why again; is he really this clueless, does he think that’ll get him in. First of all you already let me know, you don’t give a damn about being 4real, since I wasn’t married you assumed that you could make a deal? And what do I look like? If you’re stepping to me and I gave you a chance, who’s not to say you wouldn’t do me the very same way. I might look young and innocent but I didn’t just jump into this relationship game yesterday. And you trying to put fear in me about my boyfriend and his fidelity? See, I guess since you don’t know me you’ve assumed that responsible decisions I don’t know how to make. You must got me confused with that chick whose number you got the other day. So I’m sayin’ really politely, no my boyfriend ain’t around, but no you can’t soothe me. And no I don’t know his every move and no I can’t speak of every single possibility. But all of that wondering and worrying is a thing to me. Because no matter what you say about being with me and never knowing where he’s spending his time, you see… you’re not him and I already know he loves me.
