Kicking Leaf Piles
As I'm walking down the street,
waving to people that I meet,
I spot piles of leaves on the ground,
piled up into a mound.
I hurry up and look around,
wondering if anyone else sees what I've found.
Then I start running with glee,
this pile of leaves is just for me!
I kick them up into the sky,
and stand still as they fly up high!
The beautiful colors are everywhere,
I can't help but stay and stare.
I'll continue on my way,
but I'll kick more leaves another day!
