I thought I'd be good
in a sport about running,
since when I was a kid,
it seemed like I was good.
So i got into the sport,
running "cross country",
for my high school,
I should be good at it!
Oh, boy.
It was a bad idea,
I have asthma
and the running didn't help.
In fact, the running
actually started an attack.
A minor attack,
minor asthma attack.
I had some trouble breathing,
and sometimes was unable
to finish the race,
because I was having an asthma attack.
They were small ones,
but still were painful,
I had to get an
inhaler for it.
I have bad knees,
and they didn't seem
to like me running
the cross country season.
So now I don't
run cross country any more.
But I still wonder
sometimes,
whether I would have
been a good runner
If I hadn't had
these annoying problems...
