Running Red Lights
and as we ride by traffic signs tonight
well sing and scream the anthems of our youth
doing 20 over and running these red lights
were only searching for a little bit of truth
breaking rules to test the boundaries
ignoring standards to see what we can do
blowing off any form of conscience
on this road just me and you
as billy idol calls out "rebel yell"
and corgan croons out "tonight tonight"
with the music loud and moving a bit too fast
everything just seems to feel alright
Wow. This feels as though it's been stripped down of any pretence and all thats left is striking truth.
