I look into a mirror,
my reflection staring back.
My eyes gazing so deep,
praying the glass will not crack.
I know I think I'm ugly,
and I know I dread that glass.
But if you think you can change me,
you can kiss my ass.
I am me and always me,
nothing more, nothing less.
Although my looks may stay the same,
my mind and heart will progress.
As I look into my eyes,
staring as deep as I can.
I see a boy of perfection,
living in his perfect land.
Where looks are not everything,
your heart is what matters most.
And if you care for others,
then you have the right to boast.
What you see in that mirror,
can never be what you want.
But if you look deep within the glass,
you'll see a you, you wish to flaunt.
So next time you look at that other,
and think to yourself, "What can I do?"
I say look again at that reflection,
and realize that that person's you!
i really like this one. i like the mutiple points you have made: pyschical appearance being so important to who we are, inspirational- we'll get past it, and realizing the important things really are a mind and heart that take you further. incredible piece.
