Some things in this world,
we all don’t understand.
Even if we think real hard,
to understand we never can.
I do not understand,
why it rains when one wants sunlight.
And why the stars don’t shine at day,
but only shine at night.
I do not understand,
why the stars are truly hot.
And why one can never untie,
a quadruple knotted knot.
I do not understand,
why we cannot see the wind.
But we can feel it blow so smoothly,
against our faces skin.
I do not understand,
why the sand is hot under the sun
And why when the sun sets below the horizon,
one says the day is done.
I do not understand,
why when happy people cry.
And the moon only appears,
in the dark night sky.
I do not understand,
why the seasons change.
And why when someone is different,
they are considered strange.
I do not understand,
why a broken heart must always mend.
And why when the story is done,
the teacher says, “The end.”
I do not understand,
why the clouds are white.
And why the wind blows,
with all of its gusty might.
I do not understand,
why death must always end ones life.
And why friends must always stab,
in the back of a friend a hurtful knife.
There are things in this world,
that do not have a clear explanation.
But that’s what gives our world,
the greatest determination.
Some may learn why it rains,
and why the grass is green.
But a goal in life for everyone,
is to understand the seen.
Some may not understand,
why a scale starts with “doh.”
But there are some things in this world,
we’re just not suppose to know.
