How ugly do I feel right now when my pain is greeted by laughter?
Why did I even look twice at you? I was warned that you’re a walking disaster,
you played with my heart, tore me down in our privacy,
The hardest thing about us though, is that you can’t let me leave.
I thought it was an act,
I thought it was a game,
I thought you made yourself like this,
To avoid your shame.
You seem so proud of yourself, standing in front of me,
You smirk to shield yourself, dripping with make-believe,
I see the nothing in your eyes,
I feel your heart beating – chest colder than ice.
I got brave and asked you a question,
You refused to answer because you say life isn’t a lesson,
You press all my buttons, the wrong and the right ones,
I’ll get over this in time, days, weeks or months.
some of us
always learn the hard way
true that!
true that!
