The pain, sweet and beautiful
Like acid drops on my heart.
The pain swift and soothing,
Like damnation from the start.
The pain oh so inviting,
Like cravings sweet and strong.
The pain a constant companion
Like this cannot be wrong.
Heart breaking oh so slowly,
It never thought to cease.
Heart breaking wonderfully,
It never craves release.
Heart breaking like thin glass
Transparent and fragile still.
Heart breaking as its mending,
At mercy to love’s will.
Eyes filling, slow and sweet.
The darkness all been banished.
Eyes pouring sweet regret
Hungry for love, famished.
Eyes always stealing glances
Of futures not assured.
Eyes closing to past pains
Never more to see the word.
Again, quite stunning.......
you prove that there can be beauty even in terrible pain.........I'm enlightened to have this chance to read your work. Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.
