Slumber

Above the sleeping cities we ride

Floating over the oceans tides

The salt sea air

The breeze in my hair

And everythings like a dream.

The cities are buzzing

Yet the lights are out

We're sailing alone

Yet close to a crowd

Part of the stars

And part of the clouds

And everything is a dream.

Above the sleeping cities we rode

So unaware of the people below

No concept of night or day

Dawn crept in, but still we stay

And everything was a dream.

My slumber never provides such wealth

I'm never able to feel so high

To live the life of someone else

I'll always think of this sacred sky

When I'm alone

Dreaming by myself.

Great poem, I really liked it. I liked the part: The cities are buzzing, yet the lights are out, we're sailing alone, Yet close to a crowd. I wouldn't change anything.
P.S the dresden dolls are awesome
