I woke up to face a face,
That I thought would fade,
If I closed my eyes and let it die,
How cruel and unkind,
To leave me like this,
So unjustified.
Alone inside the crowd,
Sticking out like a thorn,
amongst a bed of roses,
Try to shake off all this soil,
From which they all recoil,
They can dismiss me,
But I cannot get away.
Indulging in my hallucinations,
They’re all I have that lasts,
All these places, faces,
Can never mean that much to me,
When a lead weight weighs me down,
And pulls me to the ground.
Absorbed inside a vapid wasteland,
Wave goodbye to the best of me,
As I’m slowly dying from inside out,
Waiting for everything to hollow me out,
Stuck inside a shape that spits,
And lives in me, like an abyss.
