As the light of day surrenders to the dark of night
An eerie silence settles separating night from day
The shadows thicken into a pool of pitch-black
And the beast in all men roams forth
Most are lost in a closed eye state of slumber
Others are trapped in the horror of self-made nightmare
But I float on the waves that mark the night's wind
For I am made buoyant by an emotional mind molding sound
It bathes me and guides my nights crossings
Each trip is unique though the response of a single source
It is this source of sound I wish to praise
For it guarantees my safety from the shores of night
And promises tomorrow will be a better day
It's the pounding of my heart that notices the way
What I didn't like..
Are you kidding me?
With lines like:
"And the beast in all men roams forth
Most are lost in a closed eye state of slumber
Others are trapped in the horror of self-made nightmare
But I float on the waves that mark the night's wind"
THAT?!?
What's not to like?
Like?!? Ugh?!?
What's not to love?
Brilliantly portrayed.
Light, and night.
Dark, and day.
