A wife and a mistress- A lover and a temptress,
Vowed to be faithful- But being lured by sins kiss.
Love and devotion- Countered by dislike and resentment,
Lust takes over- Causing a breach in the commitment.
What once was "I do"- Has suddenly become "I don't",
The things that you now do- Is what you once said "I won't"
Long nights at work- Putting in "Overtime",
Phone calls saying "I'll be late"- While having another on your mind.
Trying to hide the signs- So the "significant other" does not find,
Clues to your little secret- That you're so desperately trying to hide.
It's the thrill and the rush- That makes you return for more,
But keeping it on the hush- Has begun to make your consience sore.
Marriage has become a bore- But now you've become the whore,
Lies and deceit- Begin to eat at you to the core.
So easy to say yes- So hard to say no,
So easy to just stay- Instead of saying "I have to go."
Besides she'll never know- Shit, you've become a pro,
Getting visits while you're at work- Phone calls about where to go.
Hotel rooms and vacant lots- Suddenly you and your "friend" have favorite spots,
What started off as a little fun- Is no becoming a lot.
Just one more time you say- Then I'll never do it again,
And poof before you know it- You and you're "friend" are more than friends.
When will it end- What will it take?,
A court room and visitation rights- For you to finally see your mistake.
By then it's too late- You been touched by sins kiss,
Finally you see the results- Of being caught between a lover and temptress.
