I bear my soul through my words- Most wouldn't dare,
I bring you into my world- A journey that is rare.
Before you didn't care- When I told you my life was unfair,
But now you've begun to see it- Because I've taken you there.
And from what you've seen- You don't know how I could take it,
Thinking to yourself- If it was you, you wouldn't make it.
Now you see, that the world I see- Is dark and full of rain,
And inside of me, these feelings be- 'Cuz I'm cold and full of pain.
I've barely stayed sane- Through all of the confusion,
I continued to play the game- Even though I kept on losing.
I've been a spectator- Of my own game of Life,
I couldn't make my own moves- Because I couldn't see the light.
But I persisted through the obstacles- Forcing my way through,
And I have been given a gift- So that I may show the curse to you.
I'd be lying if I told you- That every thing was now fine,
But my vision is a lot better- I know longer walk my path blind.
Yet still I remain trapped- A prisoner in my own mind,
Sentenced to Life- Depression has been my only crime.
But I can feel the change- That is now under way,
Can you see it as you read?- The dawn of a new day.
Not much left to say- Not much left to do,
'Cuz I can feel it in the air- And I can see it- Can you?
