I feel your pulse raging and I see it in your eyes,

Your heart is now pounding, I’m inside your mind.

You need me, you want me, you have to have me,

To feel me, to know me, you reach and try to grab me.

I’m gone, not there, disappeared in a flash,

But you still feel my presence, I won’t let you relax.

You think, you wonder, what am I you ask?

I’m your mind, your conscious, I’m your haunting past.

I’m your future, your present, your pre-determined fate,

I’m your confusion, your thoughts, and everything you hate.

Why am I here, why won’t I leave is what you begin to wonder,

I’m here to help, here to remind you, here to scare you like thunder.

I’m your dreams, your reality, and everything you think,

I’m your nightmares, your fears, I’m the darkness you see when you blink.

I’ll never leave, I’ll never go, I’m here forever more,

I’ll haunt your dreams and keep you happy until you’re here no more.
