A local TV news anchor named Ben

Who I used to watch on the News at Ten

Is not overjoyed 

To be now unemployed 

Ben's uncertain he'll ever work again 

Ben feels he was replaced

For this reason, he says with distaste 

'This I was never actually told

I was fired because I was old

Age discrimination, an issue that must be faced

What's Ben been doing lately? Nuttin'

Doesn't go out, he's become a shut-in

For a news anchor job he has a hunger

But the networks want somebody younger 

I'm curious why nobody hires him, he's Benjamin Button!
