We look back at one of TV's Queens

A Queen we always rooted for

I'm referring to Mary Tyler Moore

Some facts I've uncovered, at 18, married Rick

Rick was a dick, that marriage ended quick

Though Rick claimed it was Mary he'd adore

Was it true? No one wanted to marry Tyler more?

After they split, Mary, depressed, tried to end it all

Hoped her life would improve after moving to Minneapolis-St Paul 

Got a job as a TV news associate producer 

Turned out all her male co-workers tried to seduce her 

Lou, her boss, said he liked Mary's spunk

He just wanted to put his junk in her trunk 

She needed to keep her distance from Ted Baxter

His attempts to attack her, didn't leave her relaxed, er

There was a weirdo whose name was Murray

Who caused Mary lots of worry 

He'd always speak of who'd he slaughter 

Years later he did, his wife and daughter 

Mary got fed up, I will quote her

'Things didn't work out for me in Minnesota'

Got in her Toyota, hit the road with her friend Rhoda

Landed a job as an events promoter in Fargo, North Dakota

A fascinating life, Mary Tyler Moore
