The philosopher George Santayana

Wrote the following in 1905

'Those who cannot remember the past 

are doomed to repeat it'

If Santayana was here today to see what's occurring 

He may change that quote to address the situation I'm referring

'Those who cannot remember the past?

Don't need to remember it, don't like it? Delete it

It's something many teachers have feared

History lessons online have disappeared

The subject isn't taught anymore in some schools 

The decision was political and made by fools

There's an old adage 'Ignorance is bliss'

Hard to believe it's come to this 

It won't happen all at once, it will in stages 

The collapse of this country in the New Dark Ages
