Loyalty due to royalty

Once upon a time lived a king

Weight he kept on losing

Nothing wrong with that

The king was too fat

What did the people want?

They wanted some good thin_king!

The king's son was an evil prince

At the scenes of his crimes would leave prints

He would have been fingered

If in the kingdom he lingered

But he fled over a year ago

Hasn't been seen since

Thank you so much..

Thank you so much for your kind words. I wasn't sure myself what point I was trying to make when I wrote it. Thanks for providing some clarification. By the way, I see you're from Australia. I have a question for you..If you could live your life over again, would you live it up over or would you remain down under? G'day mate!

Travelling is quite catching,

Travelling is quite catching, but I wouldn't mind doing it all over again. Except perhaps for winter's Christmases, that would open me up to seasonal migration...

Both amusing and engaging!

Both amusing and engaging! And in my opinion it highlights the public's superficial concerns and the darker side of royalty with a playful twist. Its humour lies in its wordplay and the contrast between the king's weight loss and the people's desire for "good thinking," as well as the prince's criminal actions and escape.
